-sobs- Last training at HSRCY today. I am already missing the unit already. So many happy times during my years in the unit. Red Cross totally changed me. Don't believe can go ask any of my primary classmates. The loner. lol. Not that I am not now. But the situation has definitely improved a lot.
I feel as though it was just yesterday when I entered HSRCY as a sec1 cadet. Blur blur one, everything also don't know. lol. One thing I did know, was to keep quiet and you learn things much faster. Then lalala, went pass my sec1 days. Super slacker. lol. During the Dec holidays though, was pretty tough. I mean really really tough. That was when my interest in footdrill begun,I guess. Training for FDC. Phew. Tough stuff. Blisters and sunburns everywhere. Though we didn't win,but those days are irreplacable. OHOH! And Malacca trip!! LOL. Almost forgot about it. Can't really remember the days now,but err,I do remember sitting in a van that brought us to meet the Red Crescent's people. On the way there,I recall darkness all around us,like going to a very scary, eerie place. LOL. Luckily that wasn't the case.
Sec2 was one amazing year. Everything was perfect. My studies,my CCA,my virtual world. Wow. Okay, maybe not piano, but still not too bad. Went for NDP'08 and had a smash there. One thing I kind of regret was that I didn't stand up and lead. But even today,I still wonder if I have the courage to do it now. Oh well. I am still more of a hide in a corner and observe type. Hahaha. After NDP,the next memorable event was RCYC'08. Met some really great people (though I can't precisely remember their names now. LOL) Had a great time :D After that, the next event was HongKong exchange program!! :D THAT was another brilliant 4d3n. Love the place where I can wear a jacket under direct sunlight. LOL. Amazing, those days were. -sighs wistfully-
Sec3 was a pretty tough year. My grades were dropping SIGNIFICANTLY. Plus pressure from my Dad. Urgh. Plus the horrible amount of planning we had to do. It was simply horrendous. But well,it was very bonding even if it was really tiring. lol. Thank God HSRCY'09 camp turned out alright. The campfire was good. But I can't say much about the rest. Will never forget THAT 4d3n. LOL. After that was ULP. Horrible. Because of a certain someone -.- Blackhorse. Urgh. I totally freaked out. I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what I had to do =.= God. What a day. Even today,I don't think I will survive that 4d3n. After that, was just another round of planning planning and planning. Tiring siah. Especially the part when you have to cope with YOs and VIs.
Sec4 is this very important year. Everyday is like a marathon, running here and there to go for lessons,a challenge to do your best for tests, pressure to absorb that huge anount of info. Phew. And worse of all, this year's training shifted to Friday. Urgh. And you know how much teachers like to have lessons on Friday afternoon, especially for graduating classes. So these 3 months, have been really brain-wrecking,just trying to adjust to stuff. Hope the next batch can have more luck in it. lol. 90% of the time, you don't follow the plan from my experience. Hahaha.
Finally free from Red Cross,I feel a bit lost. lol. Today was really very exhausting. After training, chionged home to prepare and go out 'cause I reached home at 6.45pm and I was supposed to leave the house by 7pm. LOL. Gobbled down my food in 5min and almost choked. Luckily I arrived in time for BC. A lesson on descriptive writing. Much more effective and useful than Creative Writing,if I may comment -.- What the school teacher tried to teach in 6 double periods, was accomplished in 1 and a half hour. Okay, maybe not as detailed, but generally the idea. lol. My eyes want to close already. Super ultra tired. I will never be this weary on Fridays again. Just that thought makes me miss Red Cross all over again T.T -sigh-
